دستیابی به تجهیزات ایمنی با توجه به هواپیماهای طرح ایرباس و توسعه خطوط پروازی از مهمترین اهداف اجرای این طرح بوده و به گفته مجری طرح این برج مراقبت به لحاظ ارتفاع دومین برج بزرگ كشور است.

'علی نیكزاد' وزیر راه و شهرسازی با تاكید بر اتمام این طرح تا پایان دولت دهم خواستار استفاده از معماری ایرانی اسلامی و بهره گیری از فرهنگ و تمدن این استان در طراحی ها شد.
